Space-constrained sites: Installations where a compact transformer design helps optimise available floor space.
Description
Dry-type transformers are widely used in commercial and industrial environments where safety, fire resistance and low maintenance are essential. Because they do not use liquid insulation and are cooled by air, they are especially suitable for indoor applications where reducing fire risk and avoiding oil leakage are important considerations.
The available capacity range extends from 100 kVA to 4 MVA. Published voltage classes are 1.1 kV, 2.2 kV, 3.3 kV, 6.6 kV, 6.9 kV, 11 kV, 12.47 kV, 13.2 kV, 13.8 kV, 15 kV, 22 kV, 25 kV, 33 kV and 34.5 kV. Low-voltage options include 380 V, 400 V, 415 V, 433 V, 440 V and 600 V. AN and ANAF cooling arrangements are available with OCTC or OLTC tap-changing options.
Fire-safe construction, compact dimensions, low servicing needs and high-efficiency insulation make these transformers suitable for buildings and facilities such as hospitals, shopping malls and high-rise developments.
